ABOUT
Redesigning a Legend: A New Aesthetic for Italian Traditions
We redesigned the interior of a well-known Polish restaurant chain Tutti Santi, combining the “soul” of the brand with elegant modern emotions. The concept is based on a harmony between antiquity and minimalism: from a deep burgundy palette to iconic Byzantine arches. We chose a path of refined aesthetics, using natural stone textures, gold accents, and complex multi-layered lighting. The entire space — from the custom iconography to the radiant golden oven — creates a unique frame for culinary craftsmanship. We meticulously selected every material and furniture shape to achieve flawless quality and comfort in every detail. The result is a striking interior that transforms a regular restaurant visit into a true celebration of taste. We are grateful to our customer for their trust and the opportunity to bring this large-scale project to life!
HISTORY
The story of Tutti Santi began with a meeting between the Italian master Valerio Valle, one of the world’s top pizzaiolos, and Sergiusz Urbaniak, a successful Polish entrepreneur. Together, they decided to introduce Poland to authentic "Artisan Pizza," where every single ingredient matters.
In this partnership, Valerio became the soul and visionary of the brand, bringing his secret recipes and award-winning expertise. Sergiusz provided the project with scale, turning a passion for Italian cuisine into a successful restaurant chain. Today, their collaboration represents a perfect balance between strict Italian traditions and a modern business approach.
What Makes Them Special
The main feature of the chain lies in the use of specialized flour and professional wood-fired ovens. Valerio Valle personally trains the pizzaiolos, passing on the secrets of long-maturation dough.
Currently, Tutti Santi has about 30 locations across various Polish cities, including Warsaw, Wroclaw, and Krakow. The restaurant combines an elegant interior with the atmosphere of a genuine Italian pizzeria. It is a place where pizza is treated not as fast food, but as a fine culinary art.
DESIGN
How we created the new interior design for Tutti Santi
Redesigning a Legend: Merging Italian Traditions with Modernity
When we began working on the new design for Tutti Santi, we faced a significant responsibility: to preserve the brand's "soul" and core concept while creating a visually emotional theme. Our goal was to achieve prestige without being intimidating—providing sophistication, aesthetics, and comfort for true connoisseurs of taste.
The Search for Meaning
We started with a deep dive into the architecture of Italian cathedrals and the cozy charm of classic pizzerias. Our objective was to find a balance between "holiness" (as the name translates to "All Saints") and the earthly pleasure of food—harmoniously bridging antiquity and modernity to give guests a sense of something elevated and unforgettable.
Color, Texture, Form, and Light
We moved away from direct clichés like the "red-green-white" palette. Instead, we chose colors that emphasize comfort and aesthetics: deep burgundy, natural brown, stony beige, and soft gray. These shades, paired with gold accents, create an atmosphere of calm and understated luxury, turning the restaurant into a space where guests truly want to linger.
Inspiration and Materials:
- Byzantine Influence: Inspired by Italian basilicas and Byzantine notes, we interpreted these textures and forms through modern materials.
- Contrast: Pastel, textured imitations of ancient walls serve as a backdrop for sharp, modern furniture and decorations. Minimalist white decorative walls subtly hint at classic Byzantine arches.
- Custom Details: Decorative chandeliers shaped like arched vaults and modern shelving made of brushed steel contrast beautifully against the "aged" walls. The pizza bar counter, featuring custom-made Byzantine ornaments, was crafted from a unique blend of stone and decorative concrete.
- Flooring: Parts of the floor are decorated with geometric "carpets" imitating stone and mosaic, highlighting the visual style.
The Centerpiece
The main focal point of the hall is the wood-fired oven, adorned with gold textured tiles. It tells the visual story of how the soul of the establishment is baked—the incredibly delicious pizza by master Valerio Valle.
The Icons
An integral part of the brand’s identity is the figures of Saints depicted in modern Byzantine-style icons. These were hand-painted exclusively for the chain by iconographer Khrystyna Kvyk.
The Motto
The establishment’s guiding phrase is:
“Sanctus fieri potest unusquisque ex nobis” (Each of us can become a saint).
This motto is written as an accent ribbon on the minimalist white walls along the arcades.
Lighting:
Lighting is crucial to the cozy atmosphere. We paid close attention to both functional and decorative sources. We implemented functional lighting for all tables and key zones, adding warm, flame-like light strips along geometric lines and shelves to achieve a welcoming and visually stunning effect.
IMPLEMENTATION
The implementation process was a complex journey that lasted about seven months. We personally supervised every stage of turning our design vision into reality.
This involved the careful selection of all materials, textures, and colors—meticulously testing samples of plaster, wood grains, and self-leveling floors. We also managed the selection of furniture, ensuring every fabric, shape, and shade was perfect.
The project required extensive cooperation with various subcontractors and specialized manufacturers. Every single detail in this process was crucial to achieving the highest possible quality. As a result, we delivered an incredibly striking final outcome that consistently delights guests and brings total satisfaction to our client.
SUMMARY
Together, we have successfully designed and brought to life a truly wonderful place. The new visual identity reinforces Tutti Santi’s status as the #1 Italian restaurant chain, where every visit is a celebration of taste. The network's new design is as refined and perfected as the flavor of Valerio Valle's pizza!
Most importantly, our guests are thrilled—as proven by the long queues of people waiting to experience the restaurant since the very first day.
