Reuse of old tiles in the design of the LEM station social space

When working with an object like the LEM-station, it is crucial to preserve the atmosphere and authenticity of textures and materials. To achieve this, it is essential to incorporate various interior elements that complement this space. Even better, these elements should have a history in these premises. Repurposing them in a new way or using them as decors is highly effective. This is what we strive to do with ceramic tiles. Most of them were carefully dismantled and reused in a new incarnation as accent pieces. The old tiles were specifically used on stair steps. Reuse of old tiles in the design of the LEM station social space is very important for this space. In entrance areas, we engaged more ornamental and geometrically impressive tiles suitable for different spaces. The tile from Lviv-based manufacturer @leoticomua proved to be a perfect fit. This manufacturer skillfully revives classical Lviv tiles from the 19th century, producing them by hand using traditional techniques. This approach aligns seamlessly with the style and theme of the current project.
